Alexandra Rose Raisman (born May 25 in 1994) is a retired American artistic gymnast, and a two-time Olympian. She was the American women's Olympic gymnastics team captain for both the 2012 and 2016 "Fierce Five" U.S. teams. In the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she was awarded a gold medal in the team event, making her and her teammate Gabby Douglas the sole Americans who won back-to-back gold team medals. Morgan was born to Pamela Morgan (age 30), and Michael Morgan on July 2 1989. They raised her along with her two sisters, Jeni and Jeri, in the Los Angeles suburb of Diamond Bar. Morgan was multisport in her childhood, however she first discovered soccer at the age of 14. She became a member of the Cypress Elite club team, winning the Coast Soccer League under-16 championship and finishing in third place in the under-19 bracket.
