Riley Keough
American
actress Danielle Riley Keough. She was born in Santa Monica to Danny Keough and
Lisa Marie Presley. She is the grandchild of Elvis Presley, actress, and
singer. Keough was born in Hawaii by her father, and in Los Angeles by her
mother. She also spent time in California as well as Tennessee with her mother.
When she was 15 she began modeling. This included appearances at fashion shows
for Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Dior as well as appearing on the
cover of Vogue. When she was 20, Keough was cast in a minor role in The
Runaways (2010) as Marie Currie. Then, she starred in the thriller independent
film The Good Doctor (2011) followed by the horror movie Jack & Diane
(2012) after which she was assigned a minor role in Steven Soderbergh's comedy
film Magic Mike (2012). After starring in Yellow and Kiss of the Damned in
2012, Keough was cast in the action film with a big budget Mad Max: Fury Road
(2015). In 2016, Keough had her breakthrough role as a law student-turned-escort
in the first season of the anthology series The Girlfriend Experience,
executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on his 2009 film of the same name.
Her performance was highly praised and she received nominations for the Golden
Globe Award for Best performance by an actress in a Television Limited Series
or Motion Picture. Keough's performance as a young, strait-laced woman in
American Honey (2017) won her more acclaim. She received an Independent Spirit
Award nomination. Keough also starred in the 2017 apocalyptic-themed horror
movie It Comes at Night. Keough was also seen with Soderbergh in Logan Lucky,
his heist film. In 2018, she was a star in several horror and thriller films,
including Lars von Trier's The House That Jack Built, the Neo-Noir Under the
Silver Lake and Hold the Dark. In 2019, Keough starred as the main character in
the psychological horror film The Lodge, followed by another leading role in
comedy-drama Zola (2020). Keough plays the character Sandy Harrison in
Netflix's 2020 release of The Devil All the Time.
