Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American television chef and host. Burrell was also an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne Burrell. Burrell is the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network, as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals an easy and straightforward cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. Chef Burrell has worked for a time in New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine tradition and its environment. Additionally, she competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. As a youngster, growing up in the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. Her passion was for working in the restaurant business by enrolment in The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English as well as Communication at Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had the most fun time of my life. I was never able to be more educated or accomplished in my studies. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell spent a year in Italy attending an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. Her time spent in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate Italian philosophy and culture, and this has left an impact on her own perception of food. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve the lives of kids facing problems. She is also a Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she advocates for awareness of children with diabetes. as a speaker, guest and mentor Burrell travels throughout the United States to discuss her love for cooking and career. Anne has, through her whole culinary journey has stated that it is a privilege to be in a position to be able to share this love of the food industry with people.
