Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario
Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke, and Doug Chalke are her parents. Sarah
is the middle of two siblings, the older one, Natasha Chalke, one younger,
Piper Chalke. Sarah's acting debut came in City Boy (1992), a movie made for
TV. In 1993, shortly after her debut film, she auditioned for the part of
"Becky" in the TV series Roseanne (1988). The show was looking for
someone to fill in for Alicia Goranson quit the show to attend college. Sarah
completed her high school graduation in the year 1995, while filming the
1994-1995 season of Roseanne (1988). In 1994, Sarah co-starred in the film
Ernest Goes to School (1994) alongside Jim Varney. In 1996, she was in two
films, including Robin of Locksley (1996) as well as Stand Against Fear (1996)
where she was a cheerleadernamed "Krista Wilson". Sarah was asked to
play a character in a TV series named Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998), one
year following Roseanne (1988). Based on the show Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy
(2000), Sarah also played a role in the show. In 1993 she assumed Becky's part
on Roseanne (1988). She stated that she would like to end her acting career and
pursue a degree in college. [2001] (1993-1997) She played Sara Gilbert's elder
sister in the show Roseanne (1988) however, she's a lot younger in real life.
She attended the 1999 CCMA award ceremony, and presented an award for the best
single of the year. (September, 1999) At age eight, she appeared in Vancouver
plays. Fluent in French, German and Spanish. She is a volunteer at a hospice
that cares for patients who are dying. Chalke is a cook who enjoys cooking with
group of friends, especially Thai as well as sushi as well as playing guitar.
She also enjoys ski (she is an instructor) Kayaking, snowboarding, kayaking as
well as reading. Her father is a lawyer, and both parents are mediators who
also manage a child adoption company. Her parents accompanied her to China two
years ago to help coordinate the adoptions of a lot of orphans.
