Paula Faris
Paula Faris, an American journalist, was
previously a television correspondent at ABC News. Her most well-known work is
her work as co-anchor for Good Morning America Weekend from 2015 to 2018, and
as co-host of The View from 2015 to 2018. Prior to this, she hosted World News
Now as well as America This Morning. After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the limited opportunities on TV she was employed
in sales for radio. Her next job was one year as a producer assistant at
WKEF/WRGT . She then occasionally anchor or report. From 2002 to 2005 she was
the sports anchor for weekends and the weekday sports anchor for WPO-TV in
Cincinnati. After her contract was up in 2005, she was a anchor and sports
reporter at the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in Chicago between November 2005 and
December 2011. In December 2011, she was hired by ABC News the division for
news of ABC. On January 2, 2012 she made her debut on the ABC network's World
News Now and America This Morning. During this time she occasionally appeared
as a fill-in on Good Morning America as well as an anchor. Then she was
promoted to the New York-based reporter for the entire ABC News programs. The
last show she appeared on was World News Now and America This Morning was
broadcast on January 22nd 2013. After Bianna Golodryga quit for Yahoo!, her
debut as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend was made August 9, 2014.
News. News. The contract was renewed by ABC to run the 20th season on August 3.
Season 21 also got renewed with her co-hosting duties. In the 21st and 22nd
seasons, she was mostly on the series' Friday-night episodes.
