Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zuer is an Israeli actress who
has been praised for her performances. She was born in Tel Aviv and was first
noticed by Hollywood when Steven Spielberg cast her in her first
English-speaking role as Eric Bana’s wife in Munich (2005). Zurer has been in a
variety of Studio films since arriving in the United States, including Sony
Pictures' Vantage Point with William Hurt and Dennis Quaid Samuel Goldwyn's
Fugitive Parts, which starred Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader’s Adam Resurrected
opposite Jeff Goldblum, and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons is
opposite Tom Hanks. Darling companion, a Lawrence Kasdan cast with Diane Keaton
and Kevin Kline, and Warner Bros. Man Of Steel with Russell Crow. Russell Crow,
is Ron Howard. Ewan McGregor was the director of Rodrigo Garcia, Last Days in
the Desert. She also waited for the release of The Last Knights, a film
directed by Kazuaki Kiriya, starring Clive Owen. Recently, she was honored with
the Gold Nymph Award as Outstanding actress in the Drama Series at 54th
Festival of Television of Monte-Carlo. This was due to her performance in
"Hostages". Ayelet has been awarded the Israeli Film And Television
Academy Award for her leading role in Nina's Tragedies. Ayelet also received
nominations for her roles in film Only Dogs Run Free and The Dybuk from Holy
Apple Field, Desperado and Rutenberg. She was also honored with the Haifa
International Film Festival critic's award and was a guest in Haifa's
"film Boulevard" for her international and regional achievements.
Zurer also took home the Israeli Television Academy Award for her role as the
lead actress in "In Treatment,"" an extremely acclaimed
television series that was made into a series by HBO for American television.
Zurer was also nominated for the most apt role in 2014's top drama
"Shtisel", and was awarded the most outstanding actress for drama for
her role as a brilliant surgeon in the dilemma of life and death in Hostages.
The show was licensed to BBC4 and Canal Plus and the American ABC. Golbary,
Israel's most prominent female-focused fashion house, is her "face".
She is a writer, producer as well as an illustrator. She was also the co-author
on "Shorts", the first adult book by Gabi Nitazn. Ayelet has been
working on few of her own projects in Israel as well as the US, expressing
desire to collaborate internationally with directors from all over the world
and believes in collaborating with unknown directors/writers, as well as famous
ones.
